The aims of the course are to:
- introduce the principles of composition
- develop my understanding and skill in using the different qualities of light and colour
- develop my knowledge of the principles of graphic design as they apply to photography
- develop my reflective skills
The course outcomes are:
- to be able to use the principles of composition when planning and taking photographs using suitable cameras, lenses and other equipment
- to be able to demonstrate skills in the control of qualities of light and colour, and demonstrate creative outcomes using these skills
- demonstrate a basic knowledge of the principles of graphic design in photography through a single photograph or series
- to reflect on my own learning experience
